William Verl Shinn, Sr., age 77, of Clinton, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 at his home. Visitation Wednesday, Sept.25, 6-8pm, Vansant Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, MO.  Funeral Service Thursday, 10:30am also at funeral home. William V. Shinn Sr. was born on September 12, 1942. William married Sharon Sue Grayson on January 23, 1981 in Wichita, Kansas. Together, they have 5 children, Jolene Shinn, Warrensburg, Missouri, William Shinn Jr., Debra (Gegner) Shinn, Scott Gegner all of Clinton, Missouri, and Eric (Cheryl) Gegner, Jamestown, Indiana. They have 16 grandchildren, Glen, Chris, Heather, Michael, Mackenzie, Daniel, Jeff, Deidre, Jessica, Andrea, Ashley, Jamie Lynn, Scott Jr., Christopher, Corey and Brandon. They also have 18 great-grandchildren.

William was preceded in death by his father, Beede, mother, Freda, son, Eric, and siblings, Beede Shinn, Jr, Darlene Shinn, Nancy Bailey and Viola Wright.

William is survived by his wife, Sharon and children, Jolene, Bill Jr., Debra, Scott and a brother, Jesse.
