William O. Johnson, age 92, of Deepwater, Missouri passed away at his home Monday, May 8, 2017.  The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 PM Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri.  Graveside services will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Brownington, Missouri at 2:45 PM.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Maplewood Cemetery and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Fond memories and condolences can be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com .

William Otterbein Johnson was born September 19, 1924 in Upsure County, West Virginia the son of Charles Thomas Johnson and Josie Mae (Bailey) Johnson.  He was a proud Navy veteran, and a member of Finey Baptist Church.

William was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Howard and Russell Johnson, and sister Virginia Tharp.

Survivors include his wife Beatrice Johnson, of the home, two sons, Kenney Johnson and wife Jennifer of the home and Kevin Johnson of North Kansas City, Missouri, six grandchildren, Jessica Johnson of Kansas City, Kansas and Shawna Johnson of Missouri, William Johnson of Independence, Missouri, Nelson Johnson and Zavier Johnson, and Jonathan Johnson all of the home. Also surviving is one brother Robert Johnson and a sister Margaret McGee and numerous nieces and nephews.
