William "Dale" Grimes, age 83, of Clinton, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 23, 2011 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Chapel. Cremation will follow services. William Dale Grimes, son of Franklin L. and Daisy E. (Waggoner) Grimes was born October 6, 1927 in Oregon, Misssouri. Dale served in the U. S. Navy during W.W. II. He was married to Doris Jeryldine (Jerry) Wilson on January 14, 1961. He was a lab tech for Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission before he retired. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 1894, Clinton.

He is survived by his wife "Jerry" of the home; children Kevin Blackburn and wife Kathy of Carlsbad, California, Rae Anna Tindle of Wentzville, Missouri, Alice Cameron and husband Roger of Clinton, Dana Grimes and wife Crystal of Clinton, and Mitch Grimes and wife Teri of Clinton; thirteen grandchildren, Jeremy, Nathan, Justin, Eian, Erin, Kris, Keith, Alex, Chloe, Sarah, Nat, Chrissy, and Tyler; and seven great-grandchildren.
