William P. Gillespie, age 83 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Golden Living Center-Westwood, Clinton. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, March 24, 2008 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with burial in Clinton Memory Gardens Cemetery. Bill was born in Clinton, Missouri. He was a fire fighter for the City of Clinton and worked four more years for the city until he retired with 31 years of service. He was a member of Allen Street Baptist Church, Clinton and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Bea of the home; two sons, Gary Dale Gillespie and wife, Jill of Phoenix, Arizona and Gary Wayne Gillespie and wife, Jan of Copper Hill, Virginia; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one brother, Phillip Gillespie of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
