William J. Barnett, age 77 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Friday, January 12, 2007 at Kansas City Hospice, Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.

William was born in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was a Navy veteran. He was a millwright for General Motors at the Leeds and Fairfax plants in Kansas City, Missouri before retiring in l991. He was married to Roberta M. Brugger and she preceded him in death on June 14, 1999.

He is survived by one son, Thomas Barnett and wife, Karen and three granddaughters, Ashley, Emily and Chelsea, all of Powell, Ohio; his daughter, Beth Barnett of Kansas City, Missouri and one sister, Betty Weidmaier of St. Joseph, Missouri as well as a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
