Willard "Woody" E. Wood, 77 of Clinton, Mo  passed away Wednesday,  July 11, 2018 at his home. Fond memories and condolences may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com. The family will have a memorial visitation on Sunday, July 15 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Church of Latter-Day Saints, Clinton, Mo. A graveside service will be on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Mo. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the  Woody Wood Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Willard "Woody" Edwin Wood was born November 22, 1940 in Walla Walla, Washington. He was the only child of William and Beah (Johnson) Wood. Woody worked for the government and drove a semi truck over the road. Traveling extensively for work and saw the world from behind the steering wheel. He was a cowboy and was always working with horses. He was an animal lover and couldn't sit down without a cat in his lap. Woody and Mindy had a greenhouse nursery and he loved working in the dirt.

Woody was preceded in death by his parents.

Woody is survived by his loving wife Mindy of the home, son, Warren (Stephanie) Wood, Louisiana, daughters, Sharon (Chris) Dowd, Alabama, Sandy (Mike) Dawkins, Alabama, 7 grandchildren, Candice, Kaitlyn, Chelsea, Amanda, Matthew, Timothy, Tristan, 8 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton.
