Obituary

Wayne Dean Terry was called to heaven on April, 28th 2015. He leaves behind a legacy of helping those in need. Wayne could always be counted on to help anyone going through hard times, willing to give anything he had to help someone else. His last act of giving was donating his eyes upon death.
Through his involvement with Faith he helped many families get back on their feet.
As a dedicated Boy Scout leader he encouraged and led several young men to become Eagle scouts, including all three of his sons. One of his favorite highlights from Scouting was taking his scouts to the Philmont Scout Camp in New Mexico for a 10-day wilderness trek.
He was a past President of the Clinton Eagles Lodge and also served as Missouri State Guardian Angel. He was very proud to be chosen for the Missouri State Eagle Hall of Fame.
In addition to all this he provided foster care for 33 children, giving them the best care and love possible.
Wayne was born in Warrensburg, Mo, on July 23, 1954, to Warren and Virginia Terry. He graduated Raytown High School in 1972 and moved to Clinton with his family when they purchased Terry's Place on North Highway 7.
He drove a school bus for Clinton school district before settling into a plumbing business with his Dad, where he worked until the business closed and he was forced to take an early medical retirement. Wayne loved to fish, mess with his tractor, and most of all he loved his family.
He is survived by his soul mate, best friend and Wife Deborah Terry of the home. Three sons, Joseph, Benjamin, and DJ Terry; His Mother Virginia Terry, Clinton, MO; a sister, Sandy Dodge (Doug), Hartville, WY; a niece, Katie Clark, Guernsey, WY; Three step children, Shane, Nick, and Pepper Wortman; and 8 much loved grandchildren. He also leaves behind many close friends including Jack and Patty Roney who he considered family. He was preceded in death by his Father, Warren Terry.
A celebration of life was held at the family home on Saturday May 2nd 2015, where the special memories and love that was Wayne could be shared.
