Wayne L. Mitchell, age 66 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton.

Wayne was born February 2, 1942 in Clinton, Missouri to Henry Victor and Francis Wise Mitchell. He worked for AT&T and Western Electric for thirty years.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Victor and Francis Wise Mitchell.

Among survivors includes two sons, Chad Mitchell and wife Mary Ann of Clinton, Missouri and Matthew Mitchell and wife Bobbie of Kansas City, Missouri, three brothers, Jim Mitchell and wife Kim of Clinton, Bob Mitchell and wife Theresa of Wellington, Missouri, and Dale Mitchell and wife Carol of Independence, Missouri, one granddaughter, Chasten Mitchell as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Vansant-Mills Chapel with burial in Engelwood Cemetery, Clinton. Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Chapel. Family suggests contributions to Twin Lakes Hospice which may be left at the funeral home.
