Wayne E. Burton, age 67 years, was called home to heaven Monday, September 18, 2017.  Wayne passed away at his home in Columbia, Missouri.  Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Deepwater Cemetery, Deepwater, Missouri.  The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Fond memories and condolences can be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com .

Wayne was a loving and caring father, brother, grandfather and friend.  He loved his work as a lineman and wished he could have been working to the day he passed.  Wayne had a great sense of humor and a silly personality.  Those who knew him loved his spirit.  He will be missed by all.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Burton, his mother Emma Burton, and his father Noel Burton.

He is survived by his son Richard Burton, daughter-in-law Kay Harris, daughter Sonia Martinez, son-in-law Dan Martinez, and his three grandsons Dylan Burton, Kyler Austin and Kurtis Austin.  His brothers Mike Burton, Barry Burton and his sister Gerianne Bennett.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
