Walter Thomas MacCarthy, age 90, formerly of Seattle, Washington, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at Villa Ventura Assisted Living in Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial Mass services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 25, 2012 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri. Inurnment will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Seattle, Washington at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Hospice Care of the Midwest, and can be left in care of the funeral home. During Walter's career he worked for Conair, General Dynamics, and Boeing Companies as an aeronautical engineer from 1944-1988. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Katherine (Foley) Dennis, his wife, Elizabeth, and a grandson.

Among survivors are his son, James MacCarthy and wife Sandy of Bothell, Washington, and two daughters; Kathy Miles and husband Dan of Clinton, Missouri, and Julia Paxton of McKinney, Texas.
