Virginia Ruth Kelley, age 74, of Deepwater, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at her home. Graveside services will be 2:30 P.M., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Deepwater Cemetery, Deepwater, Missouri. Visitation will be prior to service 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton. Virginia was born in 1942 to John R. and Katheryn V.(McKissick) Portwood in California, Missouri. She worked as a fiber optic die
inspector in manufacturing. Her hobbies included buying lottery tickets and going to Casino's. She enjoyed playing softball and being around family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell R. Kelley; her parents; daughter, Kimberly R. Kelley; brothers, Gary D. Portwood, John D. Portwood, Harold L. Portwood, and James B. Portwood.

She is survived by three sons, Charles (Sarah) Kelley, Deepwater, Darrell P. (Patricia) Kelley, Warrensburg, and Timothy Kelley, Deepwater; brother, Charles O. Portwood, Deepwater; two sisters, Sharon L. Dugan and Mary Gordon, both of Deepwater; grandchildren, Nathan Harper, David Harper, Angela Moore, Jenna Bascue, Travis Charles Kelley, and Zachary Ryan Kelley; great-grandchildren, Evan Harper, Kenzie Moore, Zoe Bascue, and Zander Bascue; and numerous nieces and nephews.
