Virginia Lea Hill, age 78, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at her home in Fort Scott, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel in Clinton, Missouri. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial to follow at Calhoun Cemetery in Calhoun, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Virginia Hill Family Memorial Fund and can be left in care of the funeral home. Virginia Lea Hill was born on May 1, 1943 to James and Nellie (Snyder) Boyer in Lathem, Kansas.

Virginia worked for Golden Valley Cheese and Clearfield Cheese in Clinton, Missouri. She was great at being a housewife and took great care of her children and loved to cook.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Dee Dee Cardwell, her brother Charles James Boyer, her sisters; Etta and Venna.

Survivors include her children; George Hill of Butler, Missouri, Vincent Cardmill of Augusta, Kansas, Cory Cardmill of El Dorado, Kansas, Romey Cardmill of El Dorado, Kansas, Carmaleta Cardmill of Arkansas, Ann Hill of Fort Scott, Kansas, two sisters; May Edith Smith and Lora Ann Boyer along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
