Virgil L. Brownsberger, age 85, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at Truman Lake Manor in Lowry City, Missouri. Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 30, 2013 at his home. Clinton VFW Post 1894 will provide military honors. Burial will be at a later date at the Maplewood Cemetery, Brownington, Missouri. Virgil was born in Montrose, Missouri, the son of Henry and Christine (Nold) Brownsberger. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Clinton VFW Post 1894.

He is survived by his wife, Genevieve "Jean" Brownsberger of Deepwater, Missouri; his children, Kathy Massow(John) of Warsaw, Missouri, Debbie Davis (Dan) of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Peggy Fender( Rick) of Clinton, Missouri, Danny Ray Phillips of Lafayette, Kentucky, Pete Alvarado( Mindy) of Belton, Missouri, Connie Anderson(John), Sherry Drury(Ron) and Becky Hanna of Oklahoma; twenty-five grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
