Veta Jordan, 79 of Lincoln, Missouri passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 at Westwood Living Center, Clinton, Missouri.

Veta was born May 31, 1939 in Lowry City, Missouri the daughter of Randall and Dorothy (Postlewait) Lebow.  She was the youngest of seven children.  Veta started school in Deepwater, Missouri.  She graduated high school in 1957.  She attended the Nazarene Church and was saved as a teenager.  She was active in all activities of the church and especially enjoyed summer camps.  Veta loved to travel, especially road trips, and had seen most of the U.S. and parts of Canada.  She enjoyed reading, sometimes a book a day, later in her retirement.  She also enjoyed being with her friends and visiting with her nieces and nephews who she thought of almost as her children or siblings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Dorothy Ruth Lebow, five brothers; Thomas Edward Lebow, Sr., Garold Sullivan Lebow, Ralph Stanley Lebow, infant Donald Ray Lebow, and Patrick Dale Lebow.  One niece, Sharon Kay Akers, and one nephew, Garold Dean Lebow.

Veta is survived by three nephews, Tom Lebow, Keith Lebow and Patrick Lebow; six nieces, Joetta Mills, Susan Martin, Gail Thompson, Debbie McHenry, Rene Anderson Howell and Julia Baumgardner.  Also, numerous later generations of nieces and nephews.

Veta's wishes were to be cremated.  She was laid to rest beside her parents and oldest brother, Edward, at the Lowry City Cemetery, Lowry City, Missouri.

Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
