Verba Dean Hills, age 82 years, of Deepwater, Missouri passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri. Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Verba Hills Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home. Verba was born September 28, 1932 in Foss, Oklahoma the daughter of Lucien and Donna (Potter) Rogers. She was a homemaker. Verba was a member of the First Baptist Church of Deepwater. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, painting, and crafts. She loved to decorate for Christmas.

Verba was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Russell Hills, and her two children, Donita Kay Hills and Russell Dean Hills.

Among survivors are Verba's friends and caretakers; Diane and Jim McClure, Sadie Settles, Louise Breendan, Delores Carol, Jamie McClure and her children, Emaily and Cade Gage, and Justin McClure. Also surviving are two sister-in-law's, Annebelle Foster and Elaine Oertle, an uncle, David Potter (Edith) of Oklahoma, three nephews; Mike, Monroe, and Marvin Hills, and a niece, Roseann Drury.
