Velma J. Price, age 84 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to Children's Mercy Hospital or the Veterans Home, Warrensburg and may be left in care of funeral home. Velma was born in the Mt. Zion Community, the daughter of Joseph Dee and Iva May [Edwards] Tuter. She was married to Calvin Eugene Price who preceded her in death on June 10, 2012. She was a former 4-H leader and a member of the Davis R-12 P.T.A.


She is survived by two daughters, Carla Hunter and husband, Steve of Clinton, Missouri and Paula Gallup and husband, Dale of Knob Noster, Missouri; four grandchildren, Mary Woods and partner, Susie Humphreys of Blue Springs, Missouri, Robert Warner of Windsor, Missouri, Stephanie Ross and husband, Noah of AuSable Forks, New York and Megan Fuqua and husband, Preston of Lee's Summit, Missouri; one step grandson, John Gallup of Kansas City, Missouri and two great grandchildren, Parker Ross and Briley Humphreys and twin girls on the way.
