Thelma H. Goodwin 'Bert', age 67, of Clinton, was called home Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, Clinton, Missouri.  A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri.  Fond memories and condolences can be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com .

Thelma was born July 23, 1949 in Clinton, Missouri to John and Nona Goodwin.  She was the baby of 6 children, the mother of 3, grandmother of 4, great grandmother of 3, and aunt to a host of nieces and nephews.

She attended school in Clinton and went to cosmetology school at Bev's School of Beauty.  Thelma worked at Fantastic Sam's doing what she loved.  Later, she became a CNA and worked at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital.  She also was a caregiver for the elderly before she was unable to work.  She attended Thursday night Bible Study and was an avid lover of Bingo.  Thelma was baptized at the Second Baptist Church.  She loved watching the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Chiefs, and the Royals.

Thelma is reunited with her mother and father, as well as her brother, Wallace Goodwin, and her sisters, Shirley Wilson and Hattie Shockley.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son; William Goodwin, daughters; Connie (LeVance) Goodwin-Rucker, and Yolanda Goodwin, all of Clinton, Missouri.  Her grandchildren; Brandon Goodwin, Cassandra Pottorff, Dylon Klein, and Jacob Goodwin.  Great grandchildren; Addyson, Cassidy, and Wayne.  Thelma is also survived by her brothers, General Leroy Goodwin and Eldridge Goodwin.
