Shirley J. Hetherington, age 76 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Golden Living Center-Westwood. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Family will receive friends one hour before the service on Tuesday at the chapel. Family sugguests contributons to the American Diabetes Association, the National Ataxia Foundation or Twin Lakes Hospice and may be left at the funeral home. Shirley was born in Clinton, Missouri the daughter of Harvey Allen and Flora Alice Pumphrey Clark. She was a graduate of Clinton High School. She was a member of the Gladstone Church of Christ and attended the Clinton Christian Church. She was a past member of the Clinton Country Club.

She is survived by her husand, R.T. Hetherington of the home; four daughters, Karen Krell and husband, David of Kearney, Missouri, Cheryl Winter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Michele Hetherington of Kansas City, Missouri and Stefanie Dunham and husband, Jack of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one brother, James Michael Clark and Ginger Stone of Kansas City, Missouri; six granchildren, Melinda Cable, Bryan Krell, Christy Gaskill, Adam Winter, Preston Dunham and Callie Dunham; nine great grandchildren and two nieces, Paula Pickett and Marnette Jester.
