Obituary

Sheryl Dean Rayburn, age 58, of rural Windsor, Missouri passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at her home.  Memorial Services will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Vansant-Mills Funeral Chapel, Clinton, Missouri.  Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 PM prior to service.  Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association and can be left in care of the funeral home.  Condolences and fond memories may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com .

Sheryl Dean Doll was born September 15, 1958, the daughter of Ellis Dean Doll and Carol Rayburn Doll.  She was a delight to her parents and grandparents, alike.  From an early age, she was inquisitive and wanted to know the how and why of her surroundings.  She was soft-hearted toward people and animals.  She started school in Warrensburg, Missouri, and graduated from Las Vegas High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, with many stops at other schools along the way.  Sheryl married John Ripperger in 1979.  They were blessed with two healthy children, Audrey and William.  Sheryl has five grandchildren, whom she loves very much.

In the mid-80's, Sheryl and her children came to a revival at Clear Creek Baptist Church.  During that meeting, the Spirit of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, made her understand that she needed to repent and seek salvation.  She was obedient and was eternally saved by God's grace, through faith in the Savior, Jesus Christ.  Sheryl testified of this experience before the entire congregation, which was a wonderful day for Sheryl and all present.

Sheryl's second husband, Leroy Treese, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away as a result of cancer in 2006.  After Leroy's death, Sheryl took her mother's maiden name of Rayburn.

Sheryl lived the last years of her life with her loving companion, Robert Hughes, next door to her parents, Jack and Carol Wetzel.  It was Sheryl's desire to be near her mother, and she has been a special help in caring for her until Sheryl's passing, the night of June 23, 2017.  She is , and always will be, greatly missed by many family and friends.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, Ellis Doll and husband Leroy Treese
