Shelby O. Woods, age 86 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Truman Lake Manor, Lowry City, Missouri. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri with interment in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. He will Lie-In-State Tuesday, November 6, 5:30-8:00 P.M. at Vansant-Mills Chapel. Shelby served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II working as an electrician. He retired from General Motors working as an inspector in 1979 after 30+ years. He was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church, Clinton Elks and American Legion Post #14.

Shelby was preceded in death by his parents Orviel and Hazel Stream Woods; and 6 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene of the home; one daughter, Janet Parks and husband, Bob of Clinton and one son, Mike Woods and wife, Debbie of Lee's Summit, Missouri; one sister Robina Briggs of Clinton; 7 grandchildren, Brad Pennington, Michelle King, Nicole Richner, Casey Woods, Christopher Pennington, Chad Parks, and Jamie Piazza; 7 great-grandchildren, Kamber Richner, Kaley Pennington, A.J. King, Corbin Richner, Nathan Piazza, Nicolas Piazza, and Nolan Piazza; as well as several nieces and nephews.
