Shandy E. Jordan, age 78 years, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Montrose Cemetery, Montrose, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Twin Lakes Hospice or the United Presbyterian Methodist Church and may be left in care of the funeral home. Shandy was born October 19, 1936 in Wheatland, Missouri the son of William and Grace Jordan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Shandy worked as a mechanical engineer for DST Systems. He attended the United Presbyterian Methodist Church, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years. He loved to hunt and fish.

Shandy was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Anita Jordan, one brother, Argus "Butch" Jordan, and one infant sister, Leta Jordan.

Among survivors is his wife, Shirley of the home, 3 children; Shawn Jordan of Omaha, Nebraska, Lisa Hopson (Robert) of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Becky Fick and companion, Jeff Shoffner of Spring Hill, Kansas, 3 sisters; Sharon Sutt (Kennith) of Independence, Missouri, Glenda Martin (George) of Cowgill, Missouri, and Lelia Keith (Harold) of Independence, Missouri, 6 grandsons; Ethan Jordan of Bellevue, Nebraska, Aiden Jordan of Omaha, Nebraska, Jordan Hopson USCGA, of New London, Connecticut, Brandon Hopson of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Justin Hopson of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Logan Hopson of Lee's Summit, Missouri, as well as 5 nephews.
