Samuel Lee Dyke, 71, passed away on Monday December 3, 2018 at VA hospital in Columbia Mo. Fond memories and condolences may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com . Sam was born December 3, 1947 to the late Cecil Edward Dyke and late Leah Lola Bailie in Harrisonville, MO.  He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra  Jean (Strickland,) Dyke  March 13, 2014, a brother Franklin Thompson Dyke December 23, 2012, a sister, Naomi Kathleen Nevius, January 27, 2008, brother-in-law Robert H Gwinn, Feb 13, 2002 and  brother-in-law Paul M. Crawford, November 6, 2012.

Sam enlisted in the Air Force after high school serving in the Vietnam War,  after 12 years in the Air Force he returned to Harrisonville Mo  working  as a concrete mix programmer.  From there Sam and his wife Sandy moved to Goodyear AZ where he was also a concrete mix programmer.   They retired to Thibodaux, LA for 5-6 years before returning to our area and settling in Deepwater, MO.   Sam is survived by his sisters, Iola O. Gwinn, Iconium, Mo., and Arlene Crawford, Urich, Mo. a brother Gene Dyke and wife Shanda of Garden City, Mo. Sister-In-Law Laddie L. Dyke, Iconium, Mo.

Sam will be cremated and buried with wife Sandra in a private family service at Union Baptist Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.
