Ruth E. Rogers, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at her home in Clinton, Missouri. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Ruth's Memorial Fund (for her son Michael Colby) and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Ruth Ellen (Gossett) Rogers was born on December 5, 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Ersa Gossett. Ruth moved to Clinton when she was 9 years old, she graduated high school in Clinton and had a job in the healthcare field for more than 35 years before she retired to stay home and be with her grandkids.

Ruth loved nothing more than being NANA, she enjoyed every minute she could with her kids and grandkids.

Survivors include her children Samuel Colby and wife Amanda, Michael, Amber, Autumn, Dallas and wife Rebecca all of the Clinton area, her siblings; Arnola Richter, Charlie Smallwood, Connie Vaughan, Cindy Curtis and Daniel Gossett all of the Springfield/Arkansas area, by her grandkids, Samantha, David, Miranda, Mackenzie, Michael, Payton, Logan, Paislee, Huxley, Kenna, Lucian and one more on the way, "SISTERS" Glynda Hall, Tracey Parker, Wanda Hemme and Candy Peoples.

Preceding her in death were her parents, brother Leonard Smallwood, sister Jane Lawson, and grandson Nathan Fricke.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
