Ruth Ellen Privette, age 66, said goodbye, to so many deeply loved family and friends, while at the home of her nephew, Mark Wells and his wife, Tomie Wells in Urich, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 30th, 2020. She's now and forever in the loving arms of Jesus. In the love of her life, husband and best friend, Russell Harold Privette, Sr arms and being embraced by all of her family and friends that have gone before her.

Our greatest loss is lessened knowing Ruth's Healed, Whole, and surrounded by Peace and Joy as she dances in glorious Heaven awaiting us to join her one day.
Ruth has requested no funeral due to covid, to be cremated and layed next to her beloved husband, Russ, in Edmond, Oklahoma.
*The family would like to invite you, her friends and family that she valued greatly and anyone whose life she touched, to join us as we attempt, in a small tangible way, to celebrate and honor a much treasured, loved, cared for, amazing lady, wherever you are, on her birthday, July 22nd at 7pm by releasing a balloon, in unison, together in our hearts, to express our love and sprinkle the skys with color simultaneously.*
Ruth was born on July 22nd, 1953 in Urich, Missouri to Nadine and Harold Spry, along with her sister Olive Kay, and brother Bill.
Ruth graduated in 1971, from Sherwood High School, Creighton, Missouri where friends were the most important part of her early years. These forever friends remained an important part of her life, being there for one another the way only best of friends could. Diane, Gina, Linda, Margaret and others, who she loved unconditionally, treated with kindness in all circumstances and will continue to have their backs from above. Thru all the years (46-60 of them) of life's ups and downs, never an unkind word spoken is a testament to the beauty of true friends and how wonderful and loving of the woman, Ruth. It's hard to imagine what y'alls life will be like with out her but the ways that she's impacted your lifes and the memories you've shared is so much more than the rest of us have experienced and may those memories sustain and comfort y'all your remaining years. You ALL know just how deeply she cared and loved each of you, rather mentioned by name or not.
Ruth graduated from the University of Central Missouri with her Elementary education degree. Even though, she wasn't in a classroom, she taught continually in her everyday encounters. Most importantly, she taught by example how to be kind and how to be the best version of yourself regardless of how you were treated or the circumstances you found yourself in.
Ruth's career began at OSHA to Regional Office of the Solicitor twice, working at US Dept of Labor in between. The greatest joys of her career were the co-workers she met along the way, who became lifetime friends, helping each other through some difficult times and continuing to bring happiness to her again and again. Among these precious gems are Alice, Cindy, Christine, Parrot, Sid, Vicky and many others. Thank you for all the good times and adventures, in and outside of work, that y'all blessed her with and gave her joy. The stories she told expressed how deeply she loved and cared for you all and that life was a lot more fun, thanks to Each of You and the others that weren't specifically mentioned.
In the midst of Ruth's career she met, love at first sight, the man she loved unconditionally with her whole heart. After many years of loving and caring, Russ Privette, married the most precious person in his world making her the happiest woman on earth. Their worlds became one, never seeing one without the other, even drove to and from work together every day. Ruth's friends became Russ's friends and they're outings included him too. Ruth also became an instant mom figure to a grown son, Russell H Privette Jr and a grown daughter, Debra Rachelle Privette (Shelli). Ruth being just a few years older, managed to support them no matter how difficult life got, always had words of encouragement and demonstrated unconditional love like the best of Moms. Even though, Russ's life on earth ended too early, Ruth continued to be part of his family. One of her greatest Joy's was becoming "just Grandma" to Jacob, Kessler and Emily, then renamed Grandma Ruth by the time more joy was added to her life by Rachel and Raely. She was the typical Grandma, who's fridge, walls, wallet and phone were covered with grandkids pics. Every birthday and special occasion blessed with a Grandma card, baked cake or treat, slew of presents or money. She went to as many as possible of whatever events or games they were involved in proudly wearing a "Grandma tshirt". Anyone and everyone who she talked to longer than a minute would know about all five of the wonderful joys in her life. These five precious ones are forever impacted by her many ways of caring and loving them. Because of the way Ruth loved, everyone stayed an important part of her life, including Shelli's former husband, Bill who remained included in her everyday life, occasions and holidays showering him with baked goods and dinners.
Many adventures continued with the Privette sisters, Ruth, Jan, Nona and Wilma including the 89ers celebration in OK. Ruth was the planner, she came up with where to go and they happily followed, as Wilma said. The things they've done together, places they've been, adventures they've had, with the hilarious, reflective perspective of each the 4 larger than life Privette ladies, those stories could fill a book that would make the best seller's list. I'm positive, it's brought a twinkle to Russ's gorgeous eyes and caused a bursting dimpled grin to see that his bestest girls continued to enjoy life together.
Over the years, Ruth had made many trips with her sister, Olive kay, often to Davenport to visit their relatives. Ruth even moved there for two whole weeks, staying with her Aunt Beulah. That's when Russ realized he didn't want to do life without her and showed up at her door with an engagement ring in hand and took her back with him to Missouri. Ruth continued to visit Wayne, Lisa (recently at her new condo in FL) and the rest of her cousins.
Matter of fact, that was one of the last trips she took and the last trip she shared with Olive Kay.
In Ruth's retired years, she became good friends with Randy and embraced his whole family of grown children and their grandchildren the way only Ruth could do, caring for them as if they had been part of her life always. Adam, Chad, Stacy and Theirs will have a permanent place in her heart.
Another treasured group to Ruth was her church family at Country Club Christian Church.
Rev Aday, Rev Joe, Rev Joe & Suzanne, Jeff, Mary Linda, Pat & Lance, Cindy, Kathy, Koinonia class and the Friday prayer group, that at times were mostly prayer requests from Ruth's tender heart and her concern of what was happening in her precious world. Ruth shared her love through baking and blessed y'all over and over again with her baked goods at every opportunity and occasion available. Please know she loved all of you dearly with her whole heart.
There are many loved ones and friends that were not mentioned by name but you know who you are.
The depth of friendships she's had and the unending family she continued to embrace is a true testament of her character.
She loved unconditionally with her whole heart, saw the best in the ones she loved, spoke words of encouragement and truth.
She lived by example how to walk in love, how to forgive, how to let go of hurt feelings, how to be kind in all circumstances, how to respond in love and understanding, how to extend grace and mercy to everyone.
Not having her in our corner, not having her to lean on, not having her positive energy in our world will be a major adjustment, our worlds will be a little less loving without her in them. The rest of us will need to love a little extra now.
The good news is we All now have a Guardian Angel looking over us, still loving us, still caring for us and still supporting us in our journeys. Every life, that Ruth touched and was a part of, will be forever better.
May we smile and remember all the ways she's touched our lives and the great times we've shared.
Every time we see any purple in our midst, may we smile and think of her.
May we honor her memory by handling difficult situations with kindness, love, understanding, the way she would.
Give an extra smile, hug and a bit of kindness in your part of the world today and every day.
L VE U APWAM♡A&Forever and a day Ruth, Aunt, Mom, Grandma, Sister, Bestest Friend❣
