Russell Lee Hindes of Clinton, Missouri passed away Thursday, Novembver 25, 2010 at the home of his sister, Gloria Smart of Clinton. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Vansant-Mills Chapel. Family suggests memorial contributions to The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association and they may be left in care of the funeral home. Russell was born in Clinton, Missouri the son of Joseph V. "Vollie" and Dorthy Mae (Veal) Hindes. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a member of Warsaw Leather Necks.

Russell was preceded in death by his father, Vollie Hindes; brothers, David, and Joseph Norman Hindes and a niece, Angela Hindes.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Hindes of the home; son, Marvin Wayne Hindes of Tampa, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Anderson of Clinton, Missouri; brother, John Hindes of Winona, Minnesota; three sisters, Ruth Wallace of Warsaw, Missouri; Gloria Smart and Deanna Hibbs both of Clinton, Missouri; one granddaughter, Abigail Anderson as well as nieces, nephews and a friend, Sara Wilson.
