Survivors include his wife Nancy of the home, two daughters Mechelle Sarratt of Branson, Missouri, Colleen Smith of Lawrence, Kansas, two sons, Scott Dickerson of Allen, Texas, and Lee Dickerson of Kansas City, Missouri, step daughter Nicole Machata of Portland, Oregon, step sons, David Machata of Maple Valley, Washington, and Andrew Machata, of Clinton, Missouri, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and one brother Carey Dickerson of Kansas City, Missouri.
