Ruby R. Cox, age 87 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Lincoln Community Nursing Home, Lincoln, Missouri. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Clinton. Burial will be in Clinton Memory Gardens, Clinton. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church and can be left in care of the funeral home. Ruby was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Edward and Laura Rose (Osterly) Wood, and her husband, Dwight Cox.

Among survivors include her children, David Dwight Cox of Prairie Village, Kansas, Donna Shumaker of Clinton, Missouri, Joyce Johnston of Leeton, Missouri and Martha Lawson of Calhoun, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Matthew Lawson, Mitch Lawson, Melinda Barela, Melissa Meyer, Amy Johnston, Paul Johnston, and Julie Cox, five great-grandchildren, and one sister, Omega Jane Barry of California, Missouri.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
