Roy Russel Hendrick, age 88, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday, January 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with burial to follow at Englewood Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 7-8:30 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Clinton V.F.W. Roy was a member of V.F.W. #1894, Clinton and the Golden Valley Bluegrass Association. He was a member of the United States Army and served during World War II. Roy was a farmer, and worked for Missouri Public Service as well as Parks Auto Parts for twenty five years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Myrtle Tribble Hendrick, two brothers, Glen Hendrick and Ervin Hendrick, one grandson, Michael Roy-Charles Hendrick and a sister, Mary Lucille Hendrick.

Among survivors include his spouse, Ada Hendrick of the home, three sons, Russel Hendrick and wife, Sharon of Deepwater, Kenny Hendrick and Becky Douthit of Clinton, and Billy Hendrick of Deepwater and one daughter, Glenda Strouse of Clinton, seven grandchildren; Christian Hendrick, Shanne Hendrick, Jordhan Hendrick, Chad Hendrick, Troy Hendrick, Josh Strouse, and Seth Strouse and six great grandchildren, Allie Hendrick, Macey Hendrick, Sydnee Hendrick, Madelyn Hendrick, Gracelyn Hendrick, and Preston Hendrick.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.
