Roxie E. Gregory age 87, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital Clinton, Missouri. Memorial Services will be held  Monday, January 23, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri. Visitation will be one hour prior. Roxie was born May 3, 1929 to Orrin Goodrich and Jewell (Hardin) Goodrich in Calhoun, Missouri. She was united in marriage June 29, 1946 to Oliver Gregory of Urich, Missouri.

Roxie enjoyed playing Bingo, going to Las Vegas, and taking bus trips with her friends to the Boats.Roxie was a homemaker while raising her two children. She was active in the Lucas United Methodist Church and Lucas 4-H Club, where she received several awards. She sewed, embroidery and made a hand sown quilt for each of her grandchildren for their wedding present.

Later she became employed with the University of Missouri Extension Office of Clinton, Missouri. In 1978 she started her career as a bank employee, until her retirement from Hawthorne Bank in 2008. In those 30 years, she enjoyed meeting and visiting with customers and coworkers.

After retirement, Roxie didn't  want to slow down so she engaged in meeting her lady friends for games of Fidgets, and Bonco. She loved watching her great-grandchildren play at Easter and always looked forward to visiting with her grandchildren over the phone.

Roxie was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Clinton, Missouri, Eagles Club Auxiliary, Clinton, Missouri and the Lucas United Methodist Church, she  also loved NASCAR and meeting the drivers.

Her biggest enjoyment was to go to Hardee's every morning to laugh and visit while having coffee with the gang. She loved having a good time, enjoying her family, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and host of friends.

Roxie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Oliver, brothers; Raymond Goodrich and Howard Goodrich, sisters; Dorothy Bennett and Alice Douglas.

She is survived by son, Walter A. Gregory (Brenda) of Appleton City, Missouri, daughter, Vivian L. Tschudi (LeRoy) of Adrian,Missouri, sister, Mary Justis of Clinton, Missouri,  Grandchildren, Craig Gregory (Rebecca), Benjamin Gregory, Amanda Brown (Jeb), Ryan Tschudi (Tiffany), Great-grandchildren; Rylee Jae Brown, Caleb Brown, and Eathan Tschudi, and many nieces and nephews.
