Ronny "Ron" F. Boyd, age 72, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Golden Living Center Westwood, Clinton, MO. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel with cremation following. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Shriner's Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association and can be left in care of the funeral home. Ron was born October 16, 1936 in Joplin, MO to Hubert and Anabel (Jennings) Boyd.

Ron was a Shriner and a Mason. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Local 95 Joplin, MO. He loved hunting and participating in bird dog trials.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his spouse Mickey McClure, of the home, son, Brian Boyd and wife Tracy (Lanio) of Lee's Summit, MO, two daughters; Brandi McClure of the home, and Cammie Johnson of Belton, MO, two brothers; Marvin Boyd of Houston, TX, and Charles Boyd of Duncan OK, and grandchildren, Emily Johnson, Kaden Boyd, and Devin Lanio.
