Roma Jean (Park) Woods was born October 6, 1935 to Henry Cooper Park and Evea (Shoemaker) Park in Saint Clair County, Missouri.

October 3, 1953, Roma married Cletus LaRay Woods and to this union they had four children, Cleta Jean, Dixie Lee, Robert Dean and Lisa Renee. She had eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Roma grew up in the Brownington and Deepwater area. She attended Deepwater High School and often shared fond memories of being a Deepwater Demon where she played on a girls' basketball team and was a member of the band as she played the drums. After her marriage she moved to the Delmar community of Clinton, Missouri to raise her children and work with her husband on developing a farm.

Roma led an example of Christ like love for family and friends based on her faith of Jesus Christ. Roma was a committed, supportive, and loving wife and a dedicated mother who embraced every moment with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her sisters and brothers. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening for her family as she worked alongside her husband as a farmer until retirement. She loved her neighbors and every holiday she would gift her neighbors with her baked goods and homemade candies telling how much she loved and appreciated them. Roma's grandchildren share fond memories of their grandmother making Fried Chicken meals with many deserts while making each child feel loved.

Roma loved the Lord and was a dedicated Church member of the Christian Church in Clinton, Missouri. She participated in Bible Studies, was a mentor to many and volunteered with church activities. She was loved dearly by her church family and enjoyed the many cards and letters she received while living in Kansas City.

After moving to Kansas City, residence of The Gardens, she quickly developed many friendships with companion residence who adored her. She was known for her kindness and loving heart. She found joy in sharing a table with her friends, ages of 80's to 104, as they discussed family, world problems, and everyday life while laughing together. The staff adored her and often commented how Roma was so sweet and kindhearted to all leading an example for others. She was a person who took care of others and was distinguished as never complaining about her pain or illness. The staff members were always hugging her and telling her how much they loved and appreciated her. Upon her passing, the staff members stopped by her room to say goodbye with tears of sadness.

Roma is survived by her children, Dixie (Brent) Wirsig, Kansas City, Missouri and Lisa (Bill) Carl, Clinton, Missouri.
