Roger James Clark of Clinton MO, died at the young age of 68 of complications from cancer on October 23, 2015.
Roger was born and raised in England, he was the youngest of 3 children, born in Folkestone on November 16, 1946 to Albert Clark and Kathleen Breese. He made the United States his home in 1996, living in Maryland, Virginia, Missouri, and Arizona before settling back in Missouri in 2009.
His love of car racing took him all over the U.S. to NASCAR, IndyCar, and Formula 1 races. Always accompanying him was his trusty camera, another one of his hobbies. He took thousands of photographs to get the perfect shot. A few of them winning him awards in amateur photography shows. Roger was happiest when he was outside soaking in the beauty of the great outdoors, watching bald eagles soar high above the conservation and attending outdoor fun events-any excuse to grab his camera. One of his greatest loves was making people happy. He was known for dressing up in one of his many costumes and heading to Lesia's Cafe, the nursing home, hospital, or a fundraiser around town. He saw great joy in making people smile and would boast he could crack a smile on even the grumpiest of faces, if only for a minute. His playful personality and infectious laughter was sure to brighten your day. He always had a kind word, always saw the best in others, and would lend a hand to anyone.
Roger is survived by his 4 children Donna, Debra, Tina, and James; grandchildren Kristen, Megan, and Liam; great grandson Jameson and sister Jackie. His light went out far too soon and his absence will be felt for many, many years to come. In Heaven he was welcomed by his parents, brother Mick, grandson Brandon, and beloved partner of many years, Sharon. He is not alone anymore.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
