Robert 'Bob' L. Dunning, age 86, of Deepwater, Missouri passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at his home.  Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Deepwater, Missouri.  Contributions are suggested to Pleasant Valley Cemetery and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Fond memories and condolences can be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com .

Bob was born November 29, 1930 in Henry County, Missouri the son of Robert Lee and Lucy (Thompson) Dunning.  Following the death of his mother in 1935, Bob moved with his father and sister to Arkansas for a time, and later to Los Angeles, California in 1943.  Bob married Reba Jean Abbot in 1958 in California.  To this union one daughter, Carol, was born in 1960.  Bob was a retired machinist.  He settled back in Missouri in the late 1980s.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son by his first marriage, his daughter Carol who passed May 1, 1981, and one sister, Florence Catherine.

Survivors include one brother, Kevin Dunning, and nephew, Ryan Dunning of California, as well as a host of other cousins and nephews, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.
