Robert Lee Courtney, age 78, formerly of Windsor, Missouri passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at North Village Park, Moberly, Missouri. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, Missouri. Fond memories may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com.

Robert was born in Sheldon, Missouri the son of Augustin R. and Bertha (LaFavor) Courtney. The family moved to a farm near Leeton, Missouri where he grew up. Robert moved to Wasilla, Alaska in 1958 where he built homes. Robert enjoyed buying an old building and frame a house out of it. He moved back to Missouri in 2006.

Robert is preceded in death by his father and mother Augustin Courtney and Bertha L. Courtney; as well as aunts and uncles.

He is survived by one brother, Gary Courtney of Keytesville, MO; one Aunt, Helen Cline of Windsor, Missouri; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
