Richard A. McClelland, age 66 of Calhoun, Missouri passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Clinton Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be Monday, January 4, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M.-7:30 P.M. Sunday at the chapel. Family suggests contributions to the Richard McClelland Memorial Fund or the Heartland Hospice, Butler and may be left at the funeral home. Richard was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a truck driver for the city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where he received a distinguished service award for his actions during Hurricane Hugo. He attended the Calhoun Baptist Church, Calhoun, Missouri.

He is survived by three sons, Matthew Schubach of Kansas City, Missouri, Michael Schubach of the home and Douglas McClelland of Clinton, Missouri; one daughter, Laura Shirley of Lee's Summit, Missouri; one brother, Keith McClelland of Tennessee; two sisters, Sally Jones and Karen Lillie, both of Nebraska as well as fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
