Richard Donald Goth, age 83 years, of Montrose, Missouri passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at Medicalodges Butler, Butler, Missouri.
Dick was born in Montrose , Missouri on January 28, 1931 the son of Benedict W. Goth and Irene Swaters Goth.

In 1951 the March Army quota for Henry County was filled with several young men from the area including Dick.  He had not be called for induction but wanted to go at the same time as his friend, Alfred Tenholder, so he enlisted.  He spent 2 years serving in the Korean War.  After his service, he became a member of the V.F.W. 8820.

Dick was united in marriage to Betty Sue Cornell on September 6, 1954 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montrose, where he later became a member of the Knights of Columbus.  After Dick and Sue were married they welcomed 7 children:  Theresa, Donald, David, Darrell, Danny, Maggie, and Sandra.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother-in-law, and one grandson.  He is survived by his wife Sue, of the home, his 7 children:  Theresa (Bill) Munsterman, Donald (Carla) Goth, David Goth, Darrell (Mary) Goth, Danny Goth, Maggie (Phil) Stoddard, and Sandra (Shawn) Brownsberger; 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, plus 1 due in July; two sister-in-laws and one brother-in-law.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, Montrose, Missouri with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Montrose.  Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 8 with Rosary at 7:00 P.M. also at the church.  Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Immaculate Conception Church, Montrose.  Fond memories and condolences may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com .
