Richard M. Brown, age 85 of Deepwater, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends one hour before the service on Sunday at the church. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, July l2, 2010 at Benton Cemetery, Forest City, Missouri. Family suggests contributions to the Alzeheimers Association and may be left at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri.

Richard was born in Saline County, Missouri the son of Maurice and Beatrice (Mayfield) Brown. He was a heavy equipment operator working for the 101 Operating Engineers, Kansas City, Missouri. He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Mt. Zion, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis of the home and two children, Richard Mike Brown and Sherrie Krug, both of Topeka, Kansas; three step children, Aaron Roebkes and wife, Debbie of Mound City, Missouri, Denise Haas and husband, Mark of Pratt, Kansas and Gine Decker and husband, Lynn, Jr. of Summerville, Alabama as well as fifteen grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
