Ballard
Dec 6, 1945 — Apr 12, 2025
Clinton
Rev. Reggie L. Ballard, age 79, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025 surrounded by his family at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM at the Windsor Assembly of God Church in Windsor, Missouri on Friday, April 18, 2025 with visitation from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service.
Reggie L Ballard was born on December 6, 1945 to Floyd and Lucille (Doan) Ballard in Evansville, IN. He was the third of four children.
Reggie met the love of his life, Mary Jane Falch, in 1965 through an introduction by his older brother, Curt & his wife, Brenda, Jane's best friend. They were united in holy matrimony on September 3, 1966. To that union, 2 daughters, Mindy (Brookings, SD) and Julie (Rod) Balke (Clinton, MO) were added.
Reggie was an avid outdoors man. He loved to hunt, everything from elk to deer to geese to turkey to pheasant. He enjoyed sharing his love of deer and turkey hunting with his grandsons, and a recent highlight was a trip back to South Dakota with his son-in- law, Rod & brother, Steve, to hunt pheasant.
Reggie loved people. He never met a stranger. He could always find something to talk to them about. That love is what made being a Pastor come so naturally to him. Reggie, with the help of Jane, pastored for over 50 years in 7 different states. Many lives were touched for the kingdom because of his love for the Father.
Reggie always had a story to tell about his 3 special turkeys, Emily (Denver, CO), Matthew, & Jacob (Clinton, MO). His face would light up as he talked about their accomplishments, from sports to music to academics. He loved being a Grandpa!!
Reggie leaves behind his two daughters, Mindy Ballard, and Julie (Rod) Balke, 3 grandchildren; Emily, Matthew & Jacob Balke, 2 brothers; Curt Ballard (Jefferson City, MO) and Steve (Barbara) Ballard (Burnett, TX), and 1 brother-in-law, Ed Shaffer (Columbia, MO) & a host of nieces & nephews and in-laws.
Reggie is preceded in death by his wife, Jane (Falch) Ballard, his parents Floyd & Lucille (Doan) Ballard, his sister, Judy, sister-in-law, Brenda & a nephew, Jeff. He is also preceded by his Father & Mother-in-law Otto & Hilda Falch, 3 brothers-in-law; Walter Falch, Alvin Falch, & David Falch, a niece, Susie Falch, & a nephew, Steven Keath.
Romans 14:8 (ESV) - "For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's."
