Ray Orr, Jr., age 78, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Monday, June 18, 2007 at his home.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 22, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at Vansant-Mills Chapel, under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery. The family requests memorials be made to Northeast Baptist Church.

Ray was born in Henry County, Missouri. He was a member of the White Oak Methodist Church, Urich. He was a truck driver and owned Orr's Water Hauling for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Zehnder and Lela Faye Orr, a stepdaughter, Lora Simmons, and a half brother, Cecil Simpson.

Ray is survived by his wife, Georgia, of the home; two daughters, Patricia Leonard and husband, John, Linda Gibbons and husband, Sam, all of Clinton; one son, Ronnie Orr and wife Charlene of Urich, Mo.; two step-sons, Tom Hetherington and wife Susan, Kansas City, Missouri, Max Hetherington, Clinton; stepdaughter, Debbie Wolff and husband Steve, Raytown, Missouri; half brother, Kenneth Simpson and wife Ruby, Florida; half sister, Fern Peterson and husband Jim, Kansas City, Missouri; brother-in-law, Don Zehnder and wife Edna, Jefferson City, Missouri; sister-in-law, Irene Simpson, Clinton; 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
