Perrie L. Benson age 92 of Garden City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, February 8th, 2020 at the Meadowview Care Center, Harrisonville, Missouri. Services will be held Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 11AM at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home with visitation 1 hour prior. Internment will follow at Tebo Cemetery, Leesville. Perrie was born April 1 ^st , 1927 in Racket, Mo to Judd and Mabel (Cochran) Summers. She was one of seven siblings. Perrie married her soul mate Sidney Edward Benson on Dec. 23rd, 1950 in Arkansas and had four beautiful children together.

Perrie was employed in the Food Service Department at the Clinton Senior High School for many years, followed by and eventually retiring from Wal-Mart after 15 years of dedicated service. Perrie was an avid member of the Women's Auxiliary and dedicated most of her time volunteering at the V.F.W. The rest of her days were spent with her family making memories.

Perrie was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, and three sisters. Perrie is survived by her four children, Dennis Benson, Rhonda Thornton, Rick Benson, and Annette Koch; nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, as well as her sister Clarice North. Those who had the honor of coming into contact with her remember her as a strong independent loving mother, and grandmother. All the memories will forever be cherished in our hearts.
