Peggy graduated from Clinton High School and was a lifeguard during her high school days. She met the love of her life at the Clinton roller rink William Wesley Cox. They were married in her parents home on November 21, 1962. Peggy was baptized and member of Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She worked at Clearfield Cheese during the young adult years and once they started having a family she became a stay at home mom. As the kids got older she became a friend to many kids as a cook in Clinton School District.
Peggy lived most of married life on farm outside of Clinton. She had a few animals, large garden and fruit tree orchard. Peggy was amazing at making fruit pies, blackberry cobbler being a family favorite and terrific cook. She was a wonderful wife and mom, providing a home where all was welcome. She attended many activities that her kids and grandkids were a part of. Camping was a family activity that they shared with their kids and now the kids have passed onto their kids. She loved to travel and was always up for a last minute phone call to go on an adventure. Once she took a tour bus trip to Colorado and New Mexico and came back with stories of places seen, mishaps along the way of bus breaking down. She had taken a bus tour with daughter to Tennessee to Grand Ole Opry, Ice castles, Christmas shows and created new friendships along the way.
Peggy enjoyed reading and sharing books with her siblings. She had a gift of making new friends wherever she went with a contagious smile.
