Orley Riffel, age 99, of Clinton passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Golden Living Center-Westwood, Clinton. He will lie-in-state Tuesday, August 30, 2011 12 Noon to 8:00 P.M. at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri with family graveside services on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Orley was a farmer. He was a member of the Fields Creek Special Road District for 42 years, a past member of P.A.W.S., Henry County Museum, Eagles, and the Clinton Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his wife Grace, daughter Sue Ann Riffel Hogue, three sisters Rebecca White, Ida Krause and Sylvia Krause.

Survivors include his daughter Betty Riffel of the home; one grandson Hal Riffel Hogue, Springfield, Missouri; brother Lavern Riffel (Edith), Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

Services have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home.
