Opal L. Casteel passed way Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Holden Manor Care Center in Holden, Missouri. Graveside services and inurnment will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 3, 2015 in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Opal Casteel Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home. Opal was born April 27, 1939 in Hartwell, Missouri the daughter of Leroy and Lora (Barnard) Atkinson. She was a homemaker.

Opal was preceded in death by her parents and five of her siblings, and two children.

Survivors include six children, Howard Groves of Lowry City, MO, Willie James Oliver Jr., Mark Oliver and Loretta Martinez all of Clinton, MO, Norma Bysor of Chilhowee, MO, and Cynthia Heishsman of Excelsior Springs, MO., 24 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren,2 great great-grandchildren, four brothers; Robert Leroy and Thomas A. both of Chilhowee, MO, Harold E. of Holden, MO, and Frank of Sugar Creek, MO; and two sisters, Mary Rector of Oak Grove, MO and Charlotte Murphy of Steele, MO.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
