Oliver Leroy "Roy" Travers, age 68, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 8, 2010 at the Calhoun Cemetery, Calhoun, Missouri. Family suggests contrbutions to Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri and may be left at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton (660-885-2021). Roy was born in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Oliver Riley and Helen Loraine (Barsdale)Travers. He was an over the road truck driver for the Yellow Freight System.


He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Travers of the home; his children, Sherry Lee Travers and David Leroy Travers of Louisiana, Loretta "Lori" Welch of North Carolina, and a stepson, Eric Lyell Williams of Moberly, MO.as well as four grandchildren.
