Norma "Darlene" Austin, 78 years, passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at her home in Chilhowee, Missouri.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Shawnee Mound Presbyterian Church.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri.  The family suggests memorial contributions to the Shawnee Mound Presbyterian Church and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Fond memories and condolences can be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com .

Darlene was born September 27, 1938 in Henry County, Missouri the daughter of Howard and Ethel (Foster) Martin.  She enjoyed deer and arrowhead hunting, gardening, and doing arts and crafts.  She was an animal lover, especially her collie dog, Max.  Darlene was an excellent cook.  She was a member of Shawnee Mound Presbyterian Church.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, John Martin.

Survivors include her husband, Ted of the home; one son Steven Austin of Chilhowee, Missouri; two grandchildren, Alex and Sarah Austin; two nieces, Beth Wilson and Sherri Long, and a nephew, David Martin.
