Nicholas David Nash, 40, of Missouri, passed away on June 14, 2026, in a tragic plane crash near Butler, Missouri. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at the Red Barn Ranch in Harrisonville, Missouri. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM prior to the service.

Born on May 14, 1986, in Clinton, Missouri, Nicholas was the beloved son of David Henry Nash and Lisa Michelle Moree Nash. From the day he was born, he was the joy and light of his parents' lives; he also adored and was truly loved by his step mother Melissa Nash. He brought love, laughter, and adventure to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Nicholas was the devoted husband and soulmate of Katie Nash, the love of his life. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He was a proud and loving father to his son, Ayden Nicholas Nash, and daughters, Haylie Hagan and Miley Ackley. His children were among his greatest treasures, and he loved them with all his heart.

Nicholas was also a cherished brother to Jocelyn Nash Baker, Kaitlynn Markway, Darin Nash, and Derek Nash. Family was everything to him, and he never missed an opportunity to spend time with those he loved.

For nearly 15 years, Nicholas owned and operated Nash's Tree Service, building not only a successful business but a reputation for hard work, integrity, and dedication. He took pride in helping others and was respected throughout the community.

Nicholas had an adventurous spirit that could not be contained. He loved traveling, exploring new places, and seeking out life's greatest experiences. One of his greatest passions was skydiving. It was more than a hobby—it was where he felt truly alive. He dedicated himself to perfecting his skills in the sky and became known for his talent, confidence, and commitment to the sport he loved.

He was also an incredibly gifted photographer and videographer, capturing breathtaking moments and preserving memories that will continue to tell stories for generations. Through his lens, Nicholas shared the beauty he saw in the world and in the people around him.

To know Nicholas was to love him. He never met a stranger and welcomed everyone who crossed his path with an open heart and a warm smile. His laugh was contagious, his personality magnetic, and his kindness genuine. He had a unique way of drawing people in, turning strangers into friends and friends into family. Simply knowing Nicholas made life better.

Nicholas was preceded in death by his beloved Papal, J.W. Moree, and Uncle Shawn Moree.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Katie Nash; his children, Ayden Nicholas Nash, Haylie Hagan, and Miley Ackley; his parents, David Henry Nash and wife Melissa, Lisa Michelle Moree; his siblings, Jocelyn Nash Baker and Kyle, Kaitlynn Markway and Brian, Darin Nash and Courtney, and Derek Nash and Kristen; his father in law Brian Ackley, Mother in law Rhodera Ackley and sister Heather Ackley and Brother Travis Ackley, and grandparents, Brenda Manucy Moree, Elizabeth Nash, and Henry Nash; along with countless extended family members, Uncle Michael Moree, Aunts, Holly Moree, Heather Nash Caldwell, Priscilla Nash Schmidt and many nieces and nephews and a few great nephews. Adored cousin, friends, fellow skydivers, and all whose lives were forever touched by his presence.

Though our hearts are broken by his loss, we find comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind and the extraordinary life he lived. His adventurous spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless love will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Blue skies, Nicholas David Nash. You soared above the clouds in life, and now your spirit flies free among them. You will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
