Miles Davis, age 83 of Deepwater, Missouri, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 5, 2010. According to Miles' wishes, he will be cremated with no services. Fond memories may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com

Miles was born October 8, 1926 in Buda, Illinois to Earl and Suzie Gobet Davis. He worked for Champlin Oil Company as an oil pumper in the oil fields of Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota. He served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Celia of the home, three sons, Ward Stieb and Warren Stieb both of Clinton and Thomas Malloy of Deepwater, three daughters, Vicki Lynn Zmudzinski of Gillette, Wyoming, Katherine Creason of Longmont, Colorado and Robin Nolasco of Deepwater, Missouri, one brother Jerry Dean Davis of Green River, Wyoming, one sister Betty Hallam of Boise City, Montana, twenty four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
