Mildred V. Kerns, age 90 of Lee's Summit, Missouri passed away Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the home of her daughter, Gina in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with burial in Norris Cemetery, Urich, Missouri. Family will receive friends one hour before the service on Sunday at the chapel. Family suggests contributions to the Norris Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.

Mildred was born near Garland, Missouri. She was married to George E. Kerns who preceded her in death on November 14, 1982. She worked in the Dietary Department of Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton for over 20 years. She attended church at the Clinton Church of the Nazarene as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by her children, George Kerns and wife, Margaret and Bobbie Kerns and wife, Beverly, all of Urich, Missouri, Betty Ann Kerns and husband, Duane McKee of Independence, Missouri, Nina Newbill and husband, Charles of Overland Park, Kansas and Clinton and Gina Moreno and husband, Reno of Lee's Summit, Missouri as well as six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Louise Grasher of Urich and numerous other relatives and friends.
