Merle Cecil "Butch" Brown, age 63, of Clinton passed away Friday, September 21, 2012 at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia, Missouri. Cremation with private family services at a later date. He was born in Harlan County, Nebraska to Merle Cecil "Brownie" Brown, Sr. and Dawna Kendall Brown. He was preceded in death by his father.

Butch was an Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He retired as a surveyer for the U.S. Corps of Engineers after 35 years of service. He was a Harley motorcyle enthusiast.

Survivors include his wife Victoria, of the home; his mother Dawna Brown, Hermitage, Missouri; two brothers, Ronald Brown, Strafford, Missouri and David Brown, Republic, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; many friends and co-workers; as well as his little Cairn Terrier buddy "Rudy".
