Melvin J. "Chuck" Taylor age 81 of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. The family will receive friends Friday, October 15, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Chapel. Chuck was born in Osceola, Missouri. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He worked in construction. He was an active member of Sac-Osage AA, where he obtained his 29 year soberity medallion.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Fern, of the home; one daughter, Linda; one sister, Peggy Hetherington and husband Richard as well as several nieces and nephews.
